Due to supply-chain issues, we will not be working on Nissan, Infinity, Kia or Hyundai transmissions until parts availability improves.

Due to the current heat wave, our shop will close at 3:00 PM each day until further notice.

Since 1965, drivers in Sacramento have come to us for transmission repairs. We know cars inside and out. The many service extras that we offer have made us Sacramento's repair center of choice. Our technicians work on virtually all makes of cars, trucks, vans, SUVs, motor homes, and 4X4s. When you drive into our shop, you will be talking with experienced, professional mechanics, not salesmen. You can be sure that instead of getting the run-around, you're getting a carefully detailed assessment of the actual condition of your car, based on a thorough evaluation made by professionals with proven skills and expertise. When we opened our doors back in 1965, cars didn't have computers in them and repairs were relatively simple. A lot has changed since then and we've invested heavily in making sure all of our technicians are trained to perform repairs on even the most advanced systems. Our shop honors most extended warranty programs, so if you're not certain your car will be covered, just give us a call and we'll let you know right away.

One of the questions we are often asked is "how much does transmission repair cost?" The price can vary depending on whether the unit is replaced or rebuilt, so there's no way to answer that without knowing which solution will work best for you. The process starts with a test drive, followed by diagnostic tests. After that, we'll suggest options that fit your driving needs and your budget.

Recently, there's been a lot of talk about problems with certain GM truck transmissions, including the 2500HDs and 3500HDs. The complaints also include GMC Yukon, GMC Sierra, Chevrolet Camaro, Chevrolet Colorado, Chevrolet Silverado and Cadillac Escalade. This is a well-known issue and we have the tools and expertise to fix it and save you a lot of money!

If you live in the Sacramento region, you could take your car or truck to any one of dozens of shops, but doesn't it just make sense to choose a shop that's been serving customers for more than 50 years? We've got a long history with the people in Sacramento, Citrus Heights, Carmichael and Fair Oaks. We have been here for them over the years and we're ready to solve your transmission problem today! We work hard to be the best transmission specialty shop in sacramento!

A Ford 10R80 transmission class action lawsuit filed earlier in April of 2024 claims that at least five models equipped with 10-speed transmissions experience jerking, harsh shifting, lunging, clunking, hesitation, and sudden loss of power. Recent reports suggest that the problem may include both Ford F-150 with the 6-speed 6r80 transmissions and F-250s with 10-speed 10r80 units. We also fix problems with Ford Explorer transmissions.

We have also have received reports of transmission problems with Chrysler Town and Country vehicles GMC Savana Vans and Chevy Express Vans.
